I have spent every summer on Lake Dalrymple for almost the last 40 years and could not think of a better place to enjoy time with friends and family. The area has grown in leaps and bounds and there are many new family's and business in our very own backyard.

Let's support our beautiful lake and surrounding businesses. Email us with an event or local business that deserves mention and we will share it with the rest of the community.

Cheers,

I'm glad to see a blog about our favorite vacationing place! My wife and I have been going to Lake Dalrymple Resort for the last 17 years. Gayle, Hazel and Cal run a great family resort that caters to all age groups. The fishing at Lake Dalrymple is never disappointing for the two weeks that we are there. Sometimes it can be challenging but we have managed to land some fish of a lifetime.Bass 6 lbs, pike 15 lbs, and last summer a muskie that was 51 inches long. The town of Orillia is only a 15 min ride away from the resort if you need to get anything.Over the years we have had friends and relatives stay at the resort and they have all enjoyed the resort and surronding area. Would not hesitate to recommend this resort and its great accommodations to anyone.

Yes I would have to agree..Lake Dalrymple Resorts has been a staple of many great vacation memories. As a little tyke spending my summers up there, I would take my pocket change and hike up to the resort store for candy and a delicious Kawartha Dairy Ice cream cone. We'd sit on the benches out front of the store/resort and watch the fishermen come in with some of the biggest fish I had ever seen as a little boy. 20+ years later you still get the same friendly smile and first class service every time you bump into Hazel and the gang. It sounds like you've had some trophy fish!

If you are at the resorts this summer you have to visit a hidden gem which is just a 10 minute car ride from the resorts. It is called Quaker Oats. They have THE BEST butter tarts, pies, sandwiches in the area! Head north on Lake Dalrymple Road until it ends (5 min drive), then turn right and follow that road east for about 5 minutes until you see a little log like cabin with a bright red roof (north side of road) and a human sized "Betty Boop" statue out front. It's located on a farm that they have turned into an animal santuary with the store acting as a take out deli with lots of fun interesting novelty items/souveniers for sale. Our family heads there every weekend we are up and order the Butter tarts.

May you enjoy many more summers at the Lake Dalrymple resorts!

Our family has had a cottage on Lake Dalrymple for 22 years. I love the place. In fact the older I get the more I enjoy my time there.
